10 Movies From 2016 That Could Score 0% On Rotten Tomatoes
8. Barbershop: The Next Cut
Release Date: April 15, 2016 The Barbershop films have done surprisingly well when it comes to their Rotten Tomatoes scores to date - the first one garnered a 82% fresh return, whilst its sequel - Barbershop 2: Back in Business - managed a respectable 68% rating. Barbershop 3: The Next Cut - out this April - looks set a step too far and it could be the film that pushes this franchise into rotten territory. Much of the concern surrounding the film is it being helmed by one of the worst directors in Hollywood: Malcolm D. Lee. He's the guy responsible for Welcome Home Roscoe Jones, Soul Men, and Scary Movie 5, and he's sure to bring a similar sense of awfulness to this unnecessary third installment in Ice Cube's amicable franchise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2vPDGStL4k Apparently starring pretty much every African American actor working in Hollywood (and Nicky Minaj), Barbershop 3 appears to have gone down the corny route, employing broad jokes and a family sensibility, coupled with wacky situations and gratuitous shots of Minaj's ass. As a result, this unwarranted next chapter has the potential to be a proper stinker.
