8. Lilo & Stitch

Taking a look at the vast list of upcoming Disney live-action remakes is a daunting task, but if one takes it on, somewhere on that juggernaut 2002's Lilo & Stitch will be found.

While the idea of a live-action Stitch ending up terribly disturbing is an all too real possibility and the messy track record of Disney's successes and failures with these things is concerning, time will only tell how this one will go. Production is currently limited compared to their current slate of in-production remakes, and there's plenty of time for burnout to take a toll on the studio before Lilo & Stitch has a chance to really get going.

Still, there's been some movement in terms of production crew. Writer Mike Van Waes - who is also penning upcoming horror films like The Crooked Man - is currently attached as screenwriter, and Rideback studios' Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich will be producing. This one could fade away, or it could be on our screens before you know it.
