10 Movies Scenes That You Probably Fast-Forwarded As A Kid

1. When Love Is Gone - The Muppets Christmas Carol

This. This is, arguably, the epitome and definite pick for "movie scenes everyone fast-forwarded as a kid." Dropped right in the midst of one of the greatest movies ever made (yes, greatest), "When Love Is Gone" is the very definition of filler - it's no wonder they've taken this boring, unnecessary sequence out of subsequent DVD versions of the movie: it's awful. The context for the song, of course, is during a flashback sequence where we get to watch Scrooge's (Michael Caine) former lover singing about the sadness that has engulfed their relationship. Problem is, we don't care. We don't know this woman anywhere near enough for the movie to warrant her an ENTIRE song - she's not even a Muppet! At this point in the flick, a random lady from the street might as well have burst into the living rooms of children everywhere and started singing the most uninteresting love song ever written. All right, so that's probably a little harsh, but c'mon, no normal child actually sat through "When Love Is Gone" when there are Muppets to be enjoyed after just few seconds of fast-forwarding. Muppets, people! Like this article? Let us know in the comments section below.
