10 Movies That Could Still Save The Box Office In 2020
1. Tenet
Christopher Nolan is one of the very few filmmakers out there that can sell a movie to audiences based entirely on the strength of his personal brand alone, and even though several members of the cast have admitted they still aren't entirely sure what it's actually about, as the first major release of the summer Tenet looks set to dominate the box office when it hits theaters next month.
The espionage thriller is reported to be one of the most expensive movies ever made with a budget of $225m, and the most recent trailer certainly made it look as though every penny is going to be up there on the screen, showcasing the director's signature mix of jaw-dropping practical stunts and the Big Ideas that characterize his work.
It might not quite be able to make Dark Knight money, but as an original project a total somewhere between Interstellar's $677.5m and Inception's $829.5m is entirely within the realms of possibility, and Tenet could even go higher if it manages to live up to the hype.
