10 Movies That Had MASSIVE Tomatometer Drops

5. Kick-Ass

Wonder Woman 1984
Lionsgate

Initial Score: 100%

Final Score: 76% (24% drop)

Kick-Ass is an especially interesting case because it really didn't affect the movie's general reception with audiences all too much.

Nevertheless, Lionsgate chose to initially screen the film to a small group of "enthusiast" press who largely specialised in fanboy/superhero movies, resulting in the film sitting at a towering 100% rating after the first embargo lifted.

By the time general press were permitted to watch and review Kick-Ass, its perfect Tomatometer score had dropped to a more modest 76%.

Though still completely respectable, for anyone who saw the first wave of reviews and was expecting a top-shelf superhero satire, it was a little deflating to see the film's reception drop quite so drastically.
