10 Movies With Ridiculous Endings
2. It Chapter 2
Although the Losers Club managed to beat Pennywise in the 2017 remake of It, he didn't offer much in the way of fighting back outside of trying to scare them.
Pennywise returned to Derry 27 years later eviler than ever. Throughout the movie, he terrorises the returning cast of characters whilst adding four people to his body count, including two children.
The gang are convinced by Mike that they will be able to banish the monster for good by collecting relics of their past, burning them in a special container and chanting "turn light into dark".
Which, of course, does not work.
Instead at the end of the film, Pennywise turns into a gigantic freakish spider-like thing with razor-sharp claws. So how did this bunch of regular human beings without a weapon to speak of defeat this all-powerful ancient being?
They bullied him to death.
After years of gruesome murder and gruelling torment, this powerful being, rather than being defeated by the ancient ritual that seemed so vital for most of the movie, is killed by a bunch of 40-something-year-olds calling him a clown, a little old woman and a bully.
Although the film was a disappointment on the whole following the promising return of the iconic clown, it really, truly does not get any more underwhelming than this.
