10 Movies You Can Never Admit You Haven't Seen

4. Vertigo

One of the greatest filmmakers of all time is Alfred Hitchcock, the British-born director who made dozens of films throughout his long career, many of which are widely regarded as timeless classics. From Rear Window to Psycho, Hitchcock came to define the thriller genre. Hitchcock became known as the master of suspense for a good reason - his films frequently keep you completely on edge as you try (and frequently fail) to second guess what's going to happen next. Perhaps his most challenging thriller is Vertigo, which stars James Stewart as a man who becomes increasingly fixated on a beautiful woman (played by Kim Novak). If there's one Hitchcock film you should make sure you've seen then Vertigo is as good a choice as any and is perhaps his deepest yet most rewarding movie. Any film which knocks Citizen Kane of the top spot of the prestigious Sight and Sound best movie poll - as Vertigo did in 2012 - surely deserves to be seen.
