At the height of his career Sylvester Stallone was a household name around the world. It's hardly surprising - the muscular actor was responsible for bring not one but two truly iconic characters to the silver screen: John Rambo and Rocky Balboa. As well as being one of the greatest movies about boxing ever made, Rocky also stands out as being a competent drama, too, proving that a film can have brains as well as brawn. Still, with its fortieth anniversary coming up next year it's also starting to show its age - you only have to check out Stallone in more recent movies, not least Rocky Balboa, to see that for yourself. But with another instalment in the pipeline, Creed, now is as good a time as any to check out the original if you haven't already seen it.
