10 Movies You Could've Watched Instead Of Campaigning For The Snyder Cut

If Summer Blockbusters were Snyder Cut fan's jam, why not turn their attention to the first ever Summer Blockbuster?

A film made by Steven Spielberg, when the acclaimed director was still green - but through happy accidents (read the story about why there are so few shots of the shark), the film has become a roaring cinematic classic.

With all the high budget flicks thrown out each year, it's rare to find something as compelling as Jaws, that after nearly fifty years since its release, still holds up.

This is a movie you can't create today - humans have gotten too good at killing sharks in the 21st Century to make any of the stakes in Jaws seem realistic. But watching it through a 1970's lens, it's a nail-biter to see Brody and his fellow shark hunters narrowly defeat an over-sized Great White.

Apart from the Amity Island mayor, all the characters are charming and likable. If you've never seen it before you'll be rooting for everyone to survive. Jaws is a delightful film with genuine moments of terror, tension and even some hilarious comedic beats.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
