10 Movies You Won't Believe Were Rated PG

4. Who Framed Roger Rabbit!

Who Framed Roger Rabbit Movie
Buena Vista Pictures

Who Framed Roger Rabbit! takes place in a reality where humans and cartoons co-exist, which makes it sound like the ultimate kid's movie.

But if Who Framed Roger Rabbit! was released now, it would probably receive an R-rating. The film is littered with double-entendres, over-the-top violence, a genuinely petrifying villain, and THAT frame of Jessica Rabbit's crotch.

As controversial as these moments are, they pale compare to the scene where Judge Doom is introduced. Although Toons are considered immortal, Doom reveals that they can be killed using an ink-destroying chemical called Dip. He demonstrates this by picking up a Toon shoe and slowly dunking it into a vat of the lethal chemical.

Now, "melting a shoe" may not sound scary out of context but watching that poor little boot's expression as he's disintegrated to nothing is haunting. What makes this cute little Toon's death worse is the fact that he didn't do anything! He was completely innocent and he was only murdered so Doom could prove a point.
