10 New Films You Didn't Expect From Dead Movie Franchises (That Look Terrible)

4. The Penguins Of Madagascar

Penguins Dreamworks Animation popping up twice on list of unnecessary sequels shouldn't really come as any surprise. While Pixar have for the most part praised ideas over cash (a point which will get looked at later), they've been happy to regurgitate the same characters over and over in slightly different, more derivative situations. Madagascar was never one of their strongest films, with obvious jokes and a disappointing voice cast. That it spun out into a trilogy is something future historians will use alongside George W. Bush€™s Presidency to prove we really were completely insane. That cumulatively the films have made $1.8 billion is both shameful and telling of just how low children€™s objectivity is. Despite the financial success, even the biggest fan thought the series was over after Europe€™s Most Wanted. However, it turns out there's more on the way. For the past few years, the penguins that aren't funny, but maybe if they stick around talking silly for long enough people may laugh out of confusion, have had their own TV series that is now getting the theatrical treatment. So yes, it€™s a movie spin off of a TV spin off of a movie, but its still part of same franchise and there€™s no way we want to see it.
