10 Niggling Worries Over DC's Next 10 Movies

1. Will They Find The Right Hal Jordan? - Green Lantern Corps

It's generally agreed that Ryan Reynolds didn't hit quite the right notes when it came to depicting superhero Hal Jordan in that ill-fated Green Lantern movie from 2001 (though he appears to be nailing it as Deadpool in the upcoming film, so there's a silver lining). So whilst Reynolds turned out to be wrong for the character (though you can understand why somebody might have seen him as the reckless, somewhat arrogant guy), the big question is... who will play Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern Corps, scheduled for release in five years time? This time around, there will be multiple protagonists, given that the Corps are an intergalactic police force led by Hal Jordan, but they need to nail Jordan. Thankfully Warner Bros. have a long, long time to work out a way to get this right - they need to be 100% sure on their casting decision to ensure that the Green Lantern namesake doesn't go crashing down in flames all over again. The success of the movie genuinely does hinge on the studio's ability to get Hal Jordan into the hands of a truly capable actor. Like this article? Agree or disagree with these niggling concerns?
