10 Post-Credits Movie Scenes That Changed Everything

6. Saw VI

Nobody could blame you for assuming that Saw VI didn't have a post-credits scene, given that it actually didn't on its original theatrical release.

However, for the sequel's home video Director's Cut, a scene was included at the end of the credits following the events of Saw III, where Amanda (Shawnee Smith) approaches Jeff (Angus Macfadyen) and Lynn's (Bahar Soomekh) imprisoned young daughter Corbet (Niamh Wilson).

Amanda tells Corbet not to trust the one who saves her, referring of course to Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor), who was revealed to be a secret Jigsaw apprentice in Saw IV, and takes over the main antagonist role from that film onwards.

Even though the Saw franchise ultimately didn't follow up on Corbet, it's fascinating to know that she was aware on some level that Hoffman was, to put it kindly, a bit of a wrong'un when he was briefly shown rescuing her in Saw V.

More the point, it's easy to interpret this as Amanda engineering Hoffman's downfall, by having Corbet tell the FBI what she told her, in turn causing an air of suspicion to surround Hoffman in the later sequels.
