10 Post-Credits Movie Scenes That Changed Everything
7. Argylle
While Matthew Vaughn's Argylle was rather indifferently received by just about everyone, it did at least offer up a bewildering final twist in its post-credits scene in an attempt to heighten audience investment.
This scene takes place 20 years in the past, where a young man (Louis Partridge) is in a pub called The King's Man and is soon enough revealed to be a Kingsman agent.
So first off, Argylle is confirmed to take place within Vaughn's Kingsman universe, and secondly, the agent in question is revealed to be named Aubrey Argylle - the same name as the protagonist of the books written by this film's novelist protagonist, Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard).
The Kingsman link certainly makes one think about the entire movie a little differently, even if many were ultimately left more confused than excited by trying to reconcile the two versions of Agent Argylle we've now been introduced to - the other fictional one of course having been played by Henry Cavill.
Also, considering that Samuel L. Jackson plays two separate characters in Kingsman and Argylle, how exactly do we make sense of that?
