10 Predictable Horror Movie Deaths We All Saw Coming
1. Hudson - Aliens
Hudson was never going to make it off of that rock alive, was he? As soon as he revealed he had four weeks left on his deployment, he effectively scribbled 'deceased' all over his resignation slip before tearing it to pieces. If a movie deigns to let you know that a character is soon going to be out of a difficult and dangerous life to luxuriate in the pleasures of retirement, then they're doing it to make their death all the more bitter. As*holes.
Of course, Hudson isn't helped at all by his cocky and downright unbearable personality from the outset, that then crumbles under the weight of battling xenomorphs and turns him into a nervous, gibbering wreck. He's dead weight from the moment he loses his head, and it's only upon regaining his composure that Hudson can be a hero again and earn his military stripes by laying his life down for the greater good.
Hudson ticks far too many boxes of expendability to make it to the end, and his dialogue all but seals his fate from his very introduction. RIP, man, it's game over for good.
