10 Radical Ideas To Reboot Wolverine On Film
8. Behold, Galvatron! And These Shall Be Your Minions
The man responsible for killing both Xavier and Logan was X24, a feral clone of Wolverine utterly loyal to the project that birthed him. He was supposedly killed by being shot in the head with an adamantium bullet at the end of the film, shortly after inflicting the supposedly fatal blow to his progenitor.
Nonsense. X24 had the same healing factor and adamantium-laced skeleton as a younger Logan. The first Wolverine movie demonstrated that an adamantium bullet won’t kill the man; it might not be canon any more, but that’s only because the timeline changed, not the laws of nature. There’s no comic book or cinematic lore that says that, zombie-style, a critical hit to the brainpan will kill Wolverine even if it did penetrate his skull.
If you want to bring Wolverine back, it’s only common sense to cast someone who can pass for Jackman in a good light to play X24 - or any other clone of Wolverine, come to that. You’ve already introduced the idea to the movie universe, why not capitalise on it?
If you really wanted to, you could even have some form of psychic mind transfer take place to ensure it was the real Wolverine who got up again… but more of that later.
