Marvel StudiosVillains don't necessarily need "the full package" to be great (look at The Joker - he's just a crazy human, there are no superpowers involved, and he's widely considered the greatest villain in comics), but it certainly helps if they're going to get themselves in to physical altercations with the heroes they're opposing. In Loki's case, it's not as if he's a weakling - compared to regular humans he's essentially a god and he shrugs off bullets and the like as though they're specks of dust - but he just doesn't have the brawn to compete with the likes of his adopted brother Thor and the brutish Hulk. Whenever one of the big guns in the heroic ranks of the Avengers movie gets serious, they stomp him in to the ground. Case in point: When the Hulk flung him around like a rag doll, repeatedly smashing him in to the floor at the top of Stark Tower.
