10 Reasons Miles Morales Shouldn't Be Spider-Man In Civil War
2. There Are Still More Peter Parker Stories To Tell
There are those who believe that five movies is more than enough Peter Parker. Really? Looking at Spider-Man's rogues gallery, there are a ton of great characters who haven't been introduced and decades worth of stories which the previous movies foolishly failed to take any sort of inspiration from. It's probably best to leave the Green Goblin and Osborn family well alone for a while, but how about the Hobgoblin or the Scorpion? As for Peter Parker himself, if these new movies are indeed taking us back to school, is it not about time they flesh out his supporting cast and head to the Coffee Bean? The Amazing Spider-Man movies showed that his parents are not an interesting avenue to explore, but introducing a mentor in the form of someone like Ezekiel could be fascinating. Throw Morlun into the mix and Marvel/Sony will have one hell of an epic movie on their hands. Going back to Peter being a photographer at The Daily Bugle could be fun, though the Ultimate line may have got it right when it made him a web designer instead in a bid to modernise things. The movie could even have him serve as an intern at Horizon Labs to really shake things up. Regardless, long before anyone starts thinking about replacing Peter, bear in mind that there's a lot of life left in him before that becomes necessary.
