10 Reasons Prometheus 2 Should Be Scrapped For Alien 5

5. Aliens On Earth

Joss Whedon, who wrote Alien: Resurrection, also came up with a script for a potential fifth Alien film, which would continue on from that movie's natural conclusion and take place on Earth. However, Sigourney Weaver vetoed the idea, as she wished to return Ripley to LV-426 from the first movie rather than head to Earth. Still, considering how much we've seen Ripley and the Xenomorphs running around spaceships, wouldn't it be cool to see a battle on Earth? Scott himself had shopped the idea around of an Earth-set battle movie in the early 2000s, though nothing came of it, even if the idea still lingers in the minds of Alien fans everywhere. The potential for a movie where the Xenomorphs are let loose on Earth (in a movie that isn't called Alien vs Predator) is great, especially if we can see some interesting new variations on the Xenomorph with all of the animal life lurking around. To us, it seems like the next natural step for the series, and we'd certainly rather see that than a Prometheus sequel.
