6. People Love It
The renowned creator of the Metal Gear Solid series had quite a few words to say on Twitter in regards to Pacific Rim after he experienced it, and the tweets displayed absolute elation with the movie: https://twitter.com/HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN/statuses/353074393682935808 Yes, Kojima even compared Pacific Rim to Stanley Kubricks 2001: A Space Odyssey in those tweets, and whilst that is arguable, its a tremendous amount of praise from a creator who is admired in the gaming industry. And if that wasnt a strong enough endorsement for a legion of gamers and comic book fans, acclaimed writer Neil Gaiman (Sandman, American Gods) also provided his great praise to his countless followers: https://twitter.com/neilhimself/statuses/353016778764468225 The praise didnt stop there.
