10 Recent Movie Choices That Pissed Off The Fans

5. The Crow - Eric Only Becomes The Crow At The End

1994's The Crow is a wonderful movie, serving as a beautifully stylized, ultra-cool revenge flick and a poignant tribute to the talents of the late Brandon Lee, who tragically died during the film's production. As for the 2024 remake? The less said the better.

This was a movie that pissed fans off with its very existence. Few were those who wanted a remake of such a unique, idiosyncratic movie, and many felt it was disrespectful to Lee's memory. As such, fans were already expecting the worst from this, and when it finally arrived in cinemas after 16 years of development hell, they were even more annoyed.

Alongside being a generally terrible, ugly film, The Crow rudely denies audiences what they actually came to see: The Crow (Bill Skarsgard) seeking revenge on those who killed him and his girlfriend.

Well, Eric only actually becomes the Crow in the final half-hour, and though this last stretch does actually deliver some strong action (a frustrating glimpse at a better film we could've got), most of the picture is dedicated to Eric's beyond cringe-worthy romance with his love interest Shelly (FKA Twigs).

Still, we'll always have the original.
