1. Drive-Away Dolls
While few were expecting Drive-Away Dolls to be a runaway box office smash, the fact that it was directed by half of one of cinema's most iconic filmmaking duos suggested it'd do just fine.
This oddball crime caper was written and directed by Ethan Coen, but even the Coen Brothers' regular cult of fans largely elected to stay home for this one, with the film posting the siblings' worst box office for a wide theatrical release in more than 30 years.
Drive-Away Dolls settled at just $7.9 million globally - a disastrous result for a film that was marketed as a fun, kooky ride, yet ultimately proved polarising with general audiences, landing a mediocre "C" CinemaScore.
It's been a little less than a year since Drive-Away Dolls was released, and yet you couldn't be blamed for having forgotten about its very existence entirely.
Within the grand pantheon of the Coens' collective filmography, this film is a messy footnote - not bad, but not particularly good either.
