10 Remarkable Facts About 2015's Biggest Movies

10. Edgar Wright Had Been Working On The Film For 11 Years When He Dropped Out - Ant-Man

You probably already know that British director Edgar Wright had been working on Ant-Man before he unexpectedly jumped ship - due to "creative differences," they say - just before shooting began, but did you know the true extent of his involvement, and for how long he'd been mounting and prepping and working on the project for? 11 years, people! Wright didn't get involved just a year or two before the movie was released - he approached Marvel with the idea for an Ant-Man film as early as 2003. In 2006, Wright was actually hired to helm the film, but the process stalled a number of times and the release date kept getting pushed back. Wright directed a few other movies in-between, but fully expected to direct the movie at a later date. In 2014, it was announced that Wright was gone. Hell of a long time to work on something, only for another director to come in at the last minute and take over the project a year before the film is released, huh? Still, Wright kept his writing credit for the film, which means his name remains attached in some capacity.
