10 Scariest Moments In MCU History

1. Zombie Iron Man - Spider-Man: No Way Home

Spider Man Far From Home Mysterio
Marvel Studios

In Quentin Beck, Marvel Studios created for Spider-Man a villain completely unique to any other in the franchise. Using his typical powers from the comics against fans, Far From Home dropped a real surprise when it was revealed that Mysterio's illusions were nothing more than drones and the BARF tech seen in Civil War.

Beck didn’t really need to use too much of his ‘powers’ to manipulate Peter Parker to begin with, but it was what he decided to show Spider-Man once the truth was out that was the most disturbing. With the young superhero still struggling with the death of Tony Stark, as were audiences everywhere, Mysterio used this to truly hit Peter where it hurt.

The entire scene was creepy from start to finish, with Peter not knowing where he was, what was real, and the villain’s sinister voice goading him over the top of everything. But it was turned up a notch and then some when the focus turned to Iron Man.

“If you were good enough, maybe Tony would still be alive.” Before even having a chance to recover from such a devastating jab, Iron Man’s spider-infested corpse burst from out of his grave. The Multiverse of Madness may have been labelled as the closest thing to horror the MCU had done at the time, but this scene was so much scarier.
