10 Scariest PG Rated Movies EVER MADE

1. Roadgames

A box office bomb upon release, the underrated suspenseful thriller Roadgames was released in 1981 to critical indifference, but has since been re-evaluated as a cult classic.

Mis-marketed as a straight slasher, this “Duel meets Rear Window” trucker-hunts-killer story stars Halloween heroine/ scream queen extraordinaire Jamie Lee Curtis as a spunky hitchhiker and Stacy Keach as the trucker who hunts down a serial killer across lonely highways with her help.

Despite that dark description and a few scenes featuring severed body parts, Roadgames managed to nab itself a PG rating in the US. Whilst this didn't help its box office receipts, it's still a pretty impressive achievement for a film as blatantly disturbing as this one is at times.
