10 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About Marvel's Phase 3
2. A Terrigen Bomb Denoted In Avengers: Infinity War Will Give The Inhumans Their Powers - Inhumans
"Terrigen Mist" is a fictional substance in the Inhumans line of comic books; one that has played an important part in the series on the whole. To cut a long story short, Terrigen Mist is basically what gives the Inhumans their powers; exposure with the Terrigen triggers a reaction and whoosh, superpowers! Inhumans, of course, is set to be one of the last movies of Phase Three, and as a result people are curiously questioning its placement at the end. One theory attempts to explain why Inhumans has been positioned after the events of Infinity War, however. Basically, the thinking behind this one is that - at the end of Infinity War: Part 2 - a "Terrigen Bomb" is detonated in an attempt to thwart Thanos (why and how, the theory doesn't explain). But the after effects and repercussions of said said denotation wouldn't be explored until it came time for Inhumans - which follows on from Infinity War. Inhumans would thus begin with the main characters - whoever ultimately Marvel decide to use - developing their powers as a result of exposure to the bomb. It's an elaborate theory of sorts, and there are a few kinks to iron out, but one could certainly argue it makes sense - especially since the Inhumans, the Terrigen bomb, and Thanos have links in the comics.
