10 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About Star Wars: The Last Jedi
6. Snoke Created Anakin Skywalker
An entire movie plus Last Jedi trailer footage has revealed precious little about Snoke, so is it any wonder the shadowy villain's origin has inspired more conspiracy theories than the JFK assassination and the moon landing combined?
Fans typically believe the First Order chief is a character from Star Wars past, back with a vengeance, and everyone from Darth Vader to Mace Windu has been name-dropped by theorists, though not always convincingly.
The idea that Snoke is somehow connected to Anakin Skywalker's conception gained traction online when an alleged script leak posted by the Star Wars Theory YouTube channel described a meeting between the villain and Luke Skywalker, in which Vader is referred to as his "creation".
Although the "leak" is most likely bogus given how tightly guarded Star Wars secrets tend to be, there could be a grain of truth to the concept of Snoke having a hand in Anakin's birth, something that The Phantom Menace put down to midichlorians.
Like most things about Snoke, the full extent of his power is a mystery, so midichlorian manipulation isn't something that can be ruled out, however outlandish it might sound.
Giving Snoke some kind of connection to Vader would help link The Last Jedi to both the original trilogy and the prequels, with him as the common threat running straight through the middle of the saga.
