10 Shocking Times Movie Heroes Completely Lost Control

6. Logan - Logan

Kingsman Secret Service
Fox

To be fair, Wolverine is a character that has a history littered with events and instances of him losing control. His long claws and regenerative abilities make for the perfect combination of superpowers for someone who is prone to flying off the handle, however it is arguably in his goodbye tour that we see his lack of control really begin to shock us.

Movie baddie Dr. Zander Rice unleashes a clone of Logan's younger, more powerful self who infiltrates the house our heroes are staying in, kills the family living inside and then tragically takes out the legendary Charles Xavier. It is a truly haunting series of shots and leads to one of the most brutal and emotionally-charged outbursts in cinema history.

Despite being on his last legs, Logan holds his own for the first part of his fight with his younger self, fuelled on no doubt by the loss of Charles still fresh in his mind. This first fight is everything great about Wolverine as a character, Logan as an individual and the perfect illustration of the emotional tightrope he is constantly walking.
