8. All Of Your Films Are Region 1 Uncut
This point is particularly pertinent for British fans of sick movies - America has the good fortune to have sick movies uncut galore on Region 1, we Brits get the dull, censored Region 2 versions that have all of the fun stuff taken away from them. For a British fan of filth, a multi region DVD player is a necessity. They don't really cost very much more than your bog standard Region 2 only players, so there is no excuse for all of you sickos out there not to have one. Once you have your region free player, the sky is the limit. A good place to start your version integrale sick movie collection is Amazon. For every sick film listed - you can normally get an unrated Region 1 American version. Sure it is a pain waiting for the movie to arrive from America, but it is well worth the wait. If it hadn't been for my multi region DVD player, I would not have access to Sweet Movie, Seul Contre Tous, Ilsa She Wolf of the SS, Don't Deliver Us From Evil, Love Me Deadly and Beyond the Darkness. And my world would not have been complete without them! Thanks to Region 1 DVD players (even my portable DVD player is multi region) I now have a considerably impressive and thoroughly nasty collection of sick films that are my pride and joy. This will be true of British region 1 DVD buyers. A multi region DVD player is indispensable for the sick movie fiend.
