10 Signs Star Wars 7 Will Redeem The Franchise

3. The Villains Are Solid

Spoilers Follow Disney has yet to provide an official synopsis for Episode 7; so, any plot details we heard so far are rumors, plain and simple. While there has been much Internet speculation over what the story of the new trilogy will be, we have had some very promising rumors leak from the set of Episode 7. According to a recent report from Latino Review, the villains of the new trilogy will be the nefarious Inquisitors. The Inquisitors are protectors of the evil Sith order (the villains from the original and prequel trilogies) who take Luke Skywalker hostage in Episode 7. In the expanded Star Wars universe, some of the Inquisitors are able to wield the Force. This is highly promising because it means the Episode 7 will focus on the battle between the light side and dark side of the force; that€™s the bread and butter of Star Wars that fans have come to love. Latino Review also offered up another tantalizing morsel for fans to gnaw on; Darth Vader might be returning in Episode 7 in an extended flashback scene to set up the existence of the Inquisitors. With solid antagonists to work with, Episode 7 can return to classic confrontations between good and evil, and sidestep the murky political intrigue of the prequel trilogy.
