With filming on the most anticipated movie of 2015, Star Wars: Episode VII, having started two weeks ago, it's of little surprise that despite J.J. Abrams' characteristically locked-down set, images from the production have begun to leak out, both from the Abu Dhabi set and a warehouse in Pinewood Studios. Say what you want about TMZ, but the notorious celebrity gossip website secured a whopping 45 pictures from Abu Dhabi on Monday, showcasing a plethora of the movie's extras and giving us a feel for the look of the film, while yesterday they released an additional 22 images from construction crews working on the props for the movie in London. In the space of two days, we've been given a greater glimpse into what awaits us next December by a gossip website than Disney have given us ever since the sequel was announced, and now that filming is in full swing, we can probably expect a steady stream of leaks over the next few months. That said, some have chosen to believe that, due to the images showing extras posing for photos (rather than being sneakily snapped), it's entirely possible that Abrams authorised these pictures and released them under the guise of a leak in order to gauge audience reaction to their work so far. With the clear focus on creating a practical, living, breathing world, hopefully Abrams can restore that wonderful magic to the Star Wars universe. What do you make of what you've seen so far?
