One of the more credible rumours doing the rounds over the last few months is that Episode 7 would return to desert planet Tatooine, the home of Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker and one of the most iconic locales in the Star Wars universe. Given that the 45 Abu Dhabi images show off a desert locale complete with a bustling marketplace, it seems logical that Abrams will be returning to Tatooine for a heavy dose of nostalgia. While we hope the movie explores the wider universe as well, few will be too irked by this return to familiar territory, all the more so considering the meticulous detail with which it appears to have been recreated: green screens are nowhere to be found in favour of giant sets and costumed citizens. Hopefully the effects work will be mostly limited to light touch-ups and the addition of elements to the skyline and landscape. As a first impression, though, it's nothing but good press for the movie.
