10 Stinking 2016 Movies That Scored 0% On Rotten Tomatoes

Director Brett Rapkin clearly has a bit of a thing for offbeat former baseball star Bill ‘Spaceman’ Lee. This marks the second time he’s been the subject of one of Rapkin’s films following his 2006 documentary Spaceman: A Baseball Odyssey.

To be fair, it’s not hard to see why Rapkin might be so transfixed by the guy as he’s certainly an intriguing figure. During his baseball career he played for Major League teams like the Boston Red Sox and Montreal Expos but always had a testy relationship with his sports superiors, he’s an outspoken marijuana user and in the late 1980s he ran for Canadian presidency under the satirical Rhinoceros Party.

But unfortunately, you’d have to be as big a fan as Rapkin to enjoy this limp biopic in which the protagonist comes off more as annoying than eccentric. Plus, for a film about a baseball player there’s hardly any baseball actually being played so even the most diehard of baseball fans might want to give it a miss.

Helen Jones hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
