10 Stinking 2016 Movies That Scored 0% On Rotten Tomatoes

Better known as the kid from A Christmas Story than a director, Peter Billingsley’s second feature film after his 2009 romantic comedy Couples Retreat is a crime thriller that’s about as thrilling as a baked potato. Funnily enough it almost never came to be after original distributors Universal cancelled the movie before filming started, but unfortunately for us it was revived by QED International and PalmStar Media and subjected anyone who saw it to 93 minutes of pure tedium. Thanks for that, guys.
Vince Vaughn stars as a professional heist planner who finds himself the target of several hitmen after a job goes awry. After reconnecting with his estranged daughter Hailee Steinfeld, he takes out a life insurance policy so she isn’t left up a creek without a paddle should he get topped. Snag is, he must stay alive for three weeks until the insurance kicks in so off they go on the run. If that plot doesn’t sound muddled enough, fear not: there’s a cartel leader out to avenge his son’s murder and a trio of dirty cops too.
It’s a shame because the movie has a talented cast. Alongside Vaughn and Steinfeld, co-stars Bill Paxton, Terrence Howard and Jonathan Banks all try their very best to lift it out of mediocrity but unfortunately their efforts are wasted in what ends up a muddled, nonsensical and boring movie.
