The period between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope is ripe for exploration. The new Star Wars: Rebels animated series is really the first on screen media fans are finally getting to see that covers this time period. Along with the birth of the Rebellion, it has to be assumed that the maturity of Boba Fett will come across our screens during the run of this show. When Boba Fett and Darth Vader cross paths in Empire Strikes Back, they both come across as men that have a mutual respect or understanding for one another. Exploring this understanding or agreement would be exciting. Perhaps Fett helps Vader track down some of the last remnants of the Jedi Order? Or has helped him with a few Imperial items in the past as well. It could be fascinating to see how a "relationship" formed between Boba Fett and Darth Vader. A spin-off film that shows Boba Fett doing jobs for Darth Vader and the Empire could be captivating. For example, Boba Fett could come across as the Punisher of the Star Wars Galaxy in his hunt to bring down Rebels for the Empire. It would be an anti-hero story as the Rebels are the good guys but a lot of popular media today has strong anti-heroes that fans like to cheer for. Why should Boba Fett be any different in helping bring the galaxy to its knees by working for the Empire? Besides, if the pay is good, what other reason does he need?
