10 Stupid Decisions Made By Characters In The Alien Franchise

There are a few scientists across the entire Alien franchise that have been criticised for their questionable decision making, but none more so than the incompetent Fifield and Millburn.

While exploring the alien ship on planet LV-223, Fifield and Millburn set off together and plant orbs that help map the path they take. But the pair become unsettled after hearing other members of the crew discover traces of alien life and decide to make their way back to Prometheus. Despite planting the orbs to map their whereabouts and still being in contact with the ship, they get lost.

They then encounter a snake-like creature, but instead of exercising extreme caution or calling the ship, Millburn decides to get closer to the creature, which attacks and kills him. Fifield then has corrosive fluid shot onto his helmet and falls face first into a dark liquid. A now mutated version of Fifield returns to Prometheus and kills several members of the crew before being killed himself.

The lack of common sense and basic intelligence from Fifield and Millburn really does make you wonder why such clueless individuals were allowed to be a part of the Prometheus crew in the first place.
