2. None Of The Crew Wear Any Helmets - Alien Covenant
Over the course of the film, a few crew members of the Covenant make some pretty questionable decisions, but they all make one really important and stupid decision near the beginning of the film.
While the crew are making repairs to the Covenant, they receive a transmission from a nearby planet and despite protests from some of the crew, newly promoted Captain Oram decides that they will explore the new planet. But when they land on the planet, none of them decide to wear any helmets.
Putting aside the obvious reason for why this is an insane thing for the whole crew to do, this decision ends up getting multiple members of the crew killed. Two members of the crew are infected by spores from fungus-like organisms, which results in pale aliens bursting out of their bodies and killing other members of the crew.
It is incredibly stupid decisions like this one that makes fans wonder if more people in the Alien franchise have died as a result of the aliens themselves or from their own stupidity. Either way, this decision is infamously remembered by fans as one of the franchise's more moronic moments.
