10 Stupid Movie Villain Plans That Make NO Sense
1. Green Goblin - Spider-Man: No Way Home
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker accidentally causes Doctor Strange to transport supervillains across the multiverse into their reality. Before Spidey had a chance to process what's happened, he finds himself battling Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Electro, the Lizard, and the Green Goblin.
When Norman Osborn manages to keep his Goblin personality at bay, he allows Strange to imprison him in a magical cell while the Sorcerer Supreme prepares to return him to his corresponding universe.
But when Peter realises some of the supervillains will die upon return home, he stops Strange from performing the spell and has Doc Ock, Norman and the others released. After being freed, Norman reveals he has been the Goblin persona the whole time and he was merely pretending to ally with Spider-Man.
If that was the case, why would he voluntarily allow Strange to imprison him? If Spider-Man intervened a second too late, the Goblin would've been sent back to his dimension where he would've been killed. It's one of those plot holes you don't notice upon the first viewing but it's impossible to miss the second time around.
