7. Meat Thermometer - Machete

Robert Rodriguez probably knows more about filming stupidly over the top action sequences than most other directors put together. From his low budget debut El Mariachi through to Planet Terror, Rodriguez is something of a go-to director for shlocky action movies. Machete is certainly no exception - a pulpy, gory homage to exploitation films starring Danny Trejo, it began life as a fake trailer for Rodriguez's Grindhouse double feature filmed with Quentin Tarantino. Full of bloody and brutal (yet ultimately stupid) deaths from start to finish, a highlight comes when Machete Cortez uses a meat thermometer to take out a bad guy. After implanting it in his head the thermometer kindly lets him know that the meat is "done". B-movie action doesn't come much stupider than this.
