10 Supernatural Heroes We Can’t Wait To See In The MCU

At last, we've come to the character that has not only been confirmed and cast in the MCU, but who has already appeared... technically.

Eons ago, back in the paleolithic days of 2019, it was announced that none other than two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali would be stepping in to fill the shoes worn so gloriously by Wesley Snipes in the early days of Marvel cinema. While we've yet to see this Eric Brooks, he made an uncredited voice cameo in the post-credits scene of Eternals.

Snipes's take on the character is iconic; many argue that it paved the way for the modern superhero movie craze that dominates the global box office. Now, we're primed to get a version that might even surpass the original. No disrespect of Wesley Snipes, of course, but Mahershala Ali is unquestionably one of the greatest actors of his generation. The film is being directed by Bassam Tariq, director of the acclaimed Mogul Mowgli, and written by Stacy Osei-Kuffour, who won a WGA Award for her work on Watchmen.

While he's been an Avenger, his primary group affiliation is with - you guessed it - the Midnight Sons. It sure seems like Marvel is building to something here, and what an exciting character they've got to lead the charge.
