10 Supernatural Heroes We Can’t Wait To See In The MCU

This is the last mention of the Disney+ Halloween special. Promise.

For months now, there's been an unconfirmed - but pretty consistent - report going around that Marvel is developing a Halloween special, and from the get-go, the operating assumption was that it would focus on Werewolf by Night. Now, there have been two Werewolves by Night in Marvel Comics. The first (and more popular) was Jack Russell, and the second - the reported protagonist of this project - was Jake Gomez. According to industry reports, Gael García Bernal will be playing the lead role, joined - as previously noted - by Laura Donnelly as Elsa Bloodstone, with Michael Giacchino directing.

So, this project will reportedly feature Werewolf by Night, Elsa Bloodstone, and Man-Thing. Not only does that sound awesome, as far as Halloween specials go, but all three of those characters have ties to supernatural/paranormal groups in Marvel Comics. He's been in the Legion of Monsters, alongside Man-Thing, and he was part of the Midnight Sons. In fact, the Jack Russell version of the character is pretty intimately tied to a current MCU hero - Moon Knight's first ever appearance was in 1975's Werewolf by Night #32.

There's no guarantee that we'll see any of the characters carry over after the special, but come on. This is the MCU. We all know better, don't we?
