Dogma This one is becoming more and more relevant as negative feedback to his Batman casting fills Wordpress blogs all over the world. But what people forget as they remember films like Gigli or Daredevil is that Affleck has turned in more than his fair share of tight and moving performances. Foremost of which is his role as Bartelby in Kevin Smith's one truly great film, Dogma. Affleck plays an angel cast out of Heaven for disobeying the word of God, and who wants nothing more than to bring God down with him. It's an empowering and affecting performance that one wouldn't expect from the unfortunate star of Reindeer Games.
