Where to even begin with this little eyesore?

During the incredibly underwhelming clash of the horror titans known as Freddy vs. Jason, there's a point when the former takes on the form of that most terrifying of creatures: a caterpillar.

Both of the franchises these horror legends belonged to have very much relied on the more practical side of things to leave people sleeping with one eye open at night. However, in this disastrous Ronny Yu-directed 2003 film, the call was made to embrace CGI a little more.

Rather than just use the tool to slightly enhance some gory moments and the baddies themselves, the team foolishly went one step further and unleashed a fully digital Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) form.

That ridiculous and lazily made, Alice in Wonderland-esque, hookah-smoking caterpillar honestly needs to be seen to be believed. But be warned, once Freddy's way of taking control of stoner Freeburg (Kyle Labine) wriggles into your mind, it'll haunt your nightmares for eternity.

Or just make you burst out laughing at the sight of the dodgy cartoon disappearing halfway through its door escape or unconvincingly squeezing its way into a human.

What were they thinking (or smoking) here?
