10 Terrible Looking 2019 Movies That Will Shockingly Make A Profit

8. Men In Black: International

Release Date: June 14

There's no joy in saying that the new Men in Black reboot-sequel looks painfully uninspired. Though Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson make for a fine pairing as we've seen in Thor: Ragnarok, this just looks like the wrong vehicle for them.

The humour doesn't land, the action looks generic and flat, and the visual effects look painfully bad.

But Sony probably isn't concerned much about all of that, because this is likely to end up a critic-proof movie that exploits its branding regardless of how the reviews turn out.

Releasing a week after The Secret Life of Pets 2 and a week before Toy Story 4 might sound risky, but it's clearly aiming to skew towards a slightly older late-teen demographic, and no doubt hoping to piggy-back off its Marvel-famous leading duo.

It probably won't top Men in Black 3's surprisingly strong franchise-high of $624 million, but with a reported $150 million budget - that's a whole $75 million lower than MiB3 - it can certainly be a solid success while not flying quite as high.

Predicted Box Office: $550 million
