10 Terrible Mistakes That Almost Ruined The X-Men Movies For Everyone
3. Wolverine Overkill
Hugh Jackman has made a fantastic Wolverine since he first took on the role of the character fourteen years ago - that we can all agree on - but Fox are milking him for absolutely everything he's worth and it's starting to get a little bit tedious. He has appeared in, quite literally, every single X-Men movie to date - making him the only actor to do so - including his brief cameo in X-Men: First Class (which basically epitomises the fact that Fox have to include him, in some way, in EVERY SINGLE MOVIE!). Of the seven movies to date, only two of them have had individual X-Men names in their title - meaning they were undoubtedly the starring characters in said movies - and both of them have been Wolverine movies (X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Wolverine - which is getting a sequel, incidentally. Sigh). Not only that, but the entire story of the comic book version of Days of Future Past was completely changed to accommodate Wolverine as the star of the movie. It was Kitty Pryde who went back in time in the comic book arc, but she was the one who was used as the tool to send Wolverine back to save the day on screen. Apparently, he'll be taking something of a back seat in the next movie - X-Men: Apocalypse - and, quite frankly, it's about time. Although he's a great character, we're getting a bit tired of having him thrust in our collective face.
