10 Terrible Movies That Should Have Stayed In Development Hell

Catwoman's solo movie had spent so long in development hell that it was first pitched with Michelle Pfeiffer reprising her iconic role from Batman Returns, but the project not-so-coincidentally fell apart after the script was handed over to the studio the very same day Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever was released.

Ashley Judd was set to star in 2001 before things fell apart once again, while Nicole Kidman also turned down the role before Halle Berry signed on in 2003, with Warner Bros. reportedly desperate to get a comic book movie into production after their latest attempts to reboot both Batman and Superman fell by the wayside.

Of course, we all know how this one turned out, with Catwoman tanking at the box office and quickly gaining a well-deserved reputation as one of the worst movies ever made, not just in the comic book genre. Berry was gracious enough to accept her Razzie Award for Worst Actress in person, where she called it a 'piece of sh*t'. To be fair, she wasn't wrong.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
