10 Terrifying Horror Movie Deaths You Don't Remember

5. Monica Jones - The Rage: Carrie 2

The death of Rachel Blanchard's Monica Jones in The Rage: Carrie 2 will likely have been largely forgotten by horror hounds due to the simple fact that this 1999 sequel is a total dud of a movie.

In this unwanted follow-up to Brian De Palma's 1976 classic, it's Rachel Lang (Emily Bergl) who's positioned as a bullied high schooler with telekinetic powers. Of course, the big twist here is that Rachel is unknowingly the half-sister of Sissy Spacek's Carrie White. Much like Carrie in that '76 picture, Bergl's character embarks on her own erratic, intense act of revenge during The Rage's final act.

Rather than a prom setting, Carrie 2's big finale takes place during a party at the swanky house of a wealthy d*khead jock. When it's explained how Rachel has been used as a pawn in some macho bullsh*t 'bed as many girls as possible' game, our lead seals the mansion's doors and proceeds to torment her tormentors in some truly twisted ways.

For mean girl Monica, this involves having her glasses smash directly into her eyes. Not just does this act lead to the death of Monica, it also causes her to fire a harpoon into the guts of her boyfriend Eric.

Monica's fate is a grim one to watch for most people, but for those of us who wear glasses on a daily basis, it's even more terrifying.
