10 Things About The DC Movie Universe That Make No Sense

1. The Suicide Squad's Mission

It's so easy to lose track of what Task Force X's mission was supposed to be while Suicide Squad is playing out. At first, viewers are led to believe it is to combat a supernatural threat, but its formation only exacerbates one.

In an underwhelming twist, it seems the team was only assembled to "extract" Amanda Waller from an office building, which translates to walking her up some stairs to a helicopter in waiting.

There were no monsters to battle in the stairwell, which begs the question of why Waller need a motley crew to escort her from A to B. There's a crew of agents on hand to do that job, or at least there was until she gunned them all down for no reason.

If the team's original mission was to take down Enchantress, this would have been a fitting arc for the characters, who go from being enforced to do the government's dirty work to saving the day, but Waller's original motivation for assembling the Task Force, and what she was doing in that office building is poorly explained.
