10 Things Marvel Fans Don't Want To Accept About Sony's Marvel Universe

2. The MCU's Spider-Man Is Perhaps The Least Comic Accurate

There's plenty to complain about when it comes to Sony's Marvel Universe, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is by no means perfect. While Marvel Studios is in charge of the wall-crawler in terms of creative, Sony still calls the shots, and an argument can definitely be made that Tom Holland's version of Peter Parker isn't really that comic accurate.

Whether it's his constant need for a father figure or that technologically advanced suit full of gadgets, the MCU's Spider-Man remains true to the spirit of the character, but misses the point in a lot of ways.

There's a lot to love about this take on the web-slinger, but whereas Andrew Garfield's Spidey was loosely based on the Ultimate version (he was a douche, for the most part), it was only Sam Raimi who seemed to truly "get" Peter. Why? Well, he took inspiration from those early stories by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, and that's something Marvel and Sony should bear in mind moving forward.

While many fans argue that Holland's Spider-Man is the best version of the character to date - an opinion which has some merit - it still doesn't feel like the definitive take on Spidey has been seen yet.
