10 Things Marvel Fans Don't Want To Accept About The MCU

9. The Origin Stories Are All Very Same-y

These days, origin stories tend to be something fans are just desperate to move past so they can get on with seeing their favourite characters in action. Marvel Studios decided against retelling Spider-Man's origin for the umpteenth time, and even Warner Bros.' The Batman will pick up with Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight in his second year protecting Gotham City.

Unfortunately, when there is still an origin story that has to be told in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they tend to be somewhat formulaic.

Doctor Strange is the perfect example of that. The 2016 movie basically delivered the exact same story as 2008's Iron Man; an arrogant, wealthy man is humbled by an accident, learns the error of his ways in a remote location, and then tries his best to become a hero.

Captain Marvel attempted to shake things up by telling her story in a non-linear fashion, but even that had similarities to Captain America and Thor's early years. Honestly, if the Eternals aren't basically the Guardians of the Galaxy, it will be a legit shocker at this point.
